When we use the term ‘Little Buddy’ it’s a bit of a misnomer. Buddy is a whopping 26” at the withers (measurement from the ground to the height at his shoulder blades). We can now say that we live with both the smallest (Miss Mossy, his half sister) and largest labs I have ever had. Buddy came to us on a wing and a prayer. At the tender age of 14 months he had been surrendered back to our breeder due to behavioral problems (apparently he was Buddy the destructive chewer and official bouncer off the walls). Buddy needed to find an outlet for all his teenaged labrador energy. We took Buddy on a trial basis, hoping to find a good home within our DockDogs family. After a week long visit, Chris, decided that he just couldn’t part with this big, goofy, lovable guy. The whole family came together and agreed to take on the daily training and consistency that exuberant Buddy would need in order to learn to be a dog at the Baird house. He loves to swim in the pool from morning til night during the warmer months and to run big sweeping laps when given the chance. Buddy has really become quite the snuggler, but still wins the award for the best wiggles and longest drools! Buddy loves to to jump for bumpers and GIANT Jolly Balls. He loves to play so much that he will self entertain himself with a Jolly Ball in the yard for hours on end!
Just some of Buddy’s amazing list of accomplishments:
